TAG Heuer marks the 50th anniversary of the Monza with the launch of the Monza Flyback Chronograph, unveiled ahead of the Formula 1 Pirelli Gran Premio d’Italia 2026. Limited to 500 numbered pieces, the watch pays tribute to the original 1976 model created to celebrate Niki Lauda’s championship victory with Ferrari, while embracing modern materials and technical innovation.
Housed in a modern 42mm cushion-shaped case crafted entirely from forged carbon, the watch features a unique marbled texture that makes each individual piece unique while offering exceptional strength and lightweight comfort on the wrist. The matte black dial honors the 1976 model's visual codes with bold red accents and high-legibility layout features, including white lacquered hands filled with Super-LumiNova.
Positioned across the dial are two sub-counters at 3 and 6 o'clock, an angled date window at 9 o'clock, and an outer black flange that incorporates both a tachymeter and a pulsometer scale. The case is capped with a fixed carbon bezel and domed sapphire crystal, while a black DLC steel crown and pushers complete the dark, stealthy exterior.
Visible through the grade 2 titanium sapphire caseback is the in-house, COSC-certified Calibre TH20-12. The automatic movement features a flyback chronograph function, enabling wearers to reset and restart timing intervals with a single press of the pusher.
