Nike is carrying the Dunk Low into the colder months with a GORE-TEX build in a new "Oil Gray" colorway. The application wraps the everyday silhouette in the waterproof membrane and pairs it with a sturdier, winter-minded construction, positioning the Dunk as a shoe that can hold up once the weather turns.

GORE-TEX has become a common tool for weatherproofing core sneakers ahead of each seasonal shift, and Nike has leaned on it across its staples for some time, treating the Air Force 1 to the fabric for years. The Dunk itself is no stranger to the material either, having previously appeared in GORE-TEX form through both standard two-tone makeups and a stealthier all-black version.

This release sits between those two reference points. The overlays and sole unit carry heavy dark shading in line with the blacked-out pair, while the upper breaks toward lighter aquatic tones and a contrast white Swoosh that keep it from reading as fully monochrome. The result is a gray execution that borrows from each of the earlier versions without duplicating either.

The construction is where the seasonal intent shows most clearly. The build is chunkier and more hardened than a standard Dunk Low, and an additional ring of traction encircles the platform, adding grip meant to handle slick winter surfaces. Together with the membrane, those changes reframe the model as functional cold-weather footwear rather than a purely aesthetic update.
