A multicolored sapphire and diamond necklace will be among the top lots at the upcoming Bonhams sale in California, where it could fetch up to $55,000.
The piece features a foliate design comprising four sapphires weighing 3.25, 3.32, 4.56 and 5.65 carats, including two of purplish-pink color. The lot will be on offer at the September 24 Fine Jewelry: California sale, according to the auction house’s website.
Bonhams is showcasing over 200 pieces, including items from well-known maisons such as Tiffany & Co., Hermes, and David Webb.

Estimate: $35,000 to $55,000 A gem and diamond set that includes a necklace, bracelet and earrings. In total, the pieces carry approximately 5.85 carats of diamonds, 36.85 carats of emeralds, 33.75 carats of rubies and 26.85 carats of sapphires.Estimate: $30,000 to $50,000 A necklace and bracelet featuring round and cultured pearls as well as oval-shaped blue and pink sapphires with an estimated total weight of 4.90 carats, adorned with around 7.50 carats of round brilliant-cut diamonds.Estimate: $25,000 to $35,000 This necklace sports a line of approximately 75 round brilliant-cut diamonds weighing 37.70 carats in total, in I to K color and mostly VS clarity.Estimate: $25,000 to $35,000 A David Webb bangle designed as a panther clasping its tail features a black enamel body and a head and collar accented with more than 70 round brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 1.10 carats, with round cabochon rubies as eyes.
