MNT Research, the Berlin-based team behind the MNT Reform, MNT Pocket Reform, Reform 2, and MNT Reform Next, has launched the MNT Station, a fanless, open-hardware modular computer designed for use as a desktop PC, home server, NAS, router, edge device, or low-power media center. The MNT Station is built around the MNT Reform mainboard ecosystem and designed for those who want to reuse an existing MNT Reform mainboard (versions 2.0, 2.5, or 3.0) as a stationary computer, as well as those building a modular Arm (or FPGA-based) desktop from scratch using the new MNT Reform Mainboard 3.0. Like other MNT systems, it’s fully open-source hardware, and the 200-pin processor module connector supports different processor modules, including the Rockchip RK3588, NXP Layerscape LS1028A, and Raspberry Pi CM4, among others. MNT Station specifications: SoC/Processor and Memory options (via 200-pin module) Rockchip RK3588 (MNT RCORE V2) — 4× Cortex-A76 + 4× Cortex-A55 [...]
